At Torino, Ligety also participated in the giant slalom, where he did not finish the first run, and the slalom, where he was disqualified after the first run. Felix Neureuther (born 26 March 1984 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen) is a German alpine skier. He won a gold medal in team competition at FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2005. He participated for Germany in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino in Slalom and Giant Slalom. In his career, he has achieved four podium places in World Cup races so far. His mother is former World, Olympic and World Cup champion Rosi Mittermaier and his father is former Alpine ski champion Christian Neureuther.
